My career in education and training spans over 10 years of non-formal education through play-way methods and other innovative techniques so as to ensure that it remains child friendly and have quality at the same time. I have taught preschool to grade 3 in India and was involved in a Preschool program in U.S.A. I was associated with many educational training programs in India and was involved in developing and executing these programs.
My methodology in teaching focuses on the holistic development of the child and is based on the fact that learning through play-way methods makes it easier for the child to grasp concepts in life and have its varied rich experiences. My experience in training and curriculum development has helped me in preparing these modules which are based upon actual observations of children and their learning experiences.The purpose of this program is to stimulate child's enthusiasm for learning without interfering with the child's natural desire to teach self and help him become independent. Each child works through his individual cycle of activities, and learns to really understand according to his own unique needs and capabilities.
According to Dr. Maria Montessori children pass through sensitive periods of development early in life. She has described the child's mind between the time of birth and six years of age as the "absorbent mind". It is during this stage that a child has a tremendous ability to learn and assimilate from the world around him, without conscious effort. During this time, children are particularly receptive to certain external stimuli.
